Dr. Amy Cohen of Narberth was arrested on multiple felony charges last Friday, Dec. 1, and held in lieu of a $5 million bond, said Lower Merion police in a release.
Investigators said Cohen was targeting the grandmother of her ex-boyfriend's new partner when she allegedly left racist flyers outside a Lower Merion home on Nov. 24.
The leaflets, police said, used antisemitic language and specifically threatened the homeowner's granddaughters, who do not live in the home.
Similar flyers were also found at family members' houses across Montgomery County and Philadelphia, authorities said.
The family set up security cameras after the incident, and days later on Nov. 30, showed police video of a "white female set(ting) an intentional fire at the front door" while the victim was asleep inside, the department said.
The woman in the clip was seen "spraying a flammable liquid" into the flames, but the fire burned out before spreading past the porch, according to investigators.
The video evidence allowed police to identify Cohen as a suspect, and searches of her Forrest Avenue home turned up evidence connecting her to both incidents, authorities said.
She is charged with attempted murder, arson, aggravated assault, terroristic threats, ethnic intimidation, and related counts, said LMPD.
